HVFC has responded to two working fires and a few other calls so far on July 4th.

Early this morning Engine-Tanker 24 and Truck 2 responded to assist Lineboro VFC and surrounding companies to the 3300 block of Traceys Mill Rd. Manchester’s Engine arrived and found fire showing and requested the Tanker Task Force. HVFC crews assisted with water supply, search and rescue and overhaul.

Later in the afternoon, around 4:20pm Engine-Tanker 24 and Truck 2 were alerted to respond mutual aid into Baltimore County for a second alarm fire in the unit block of Lynn Ridge Ct. Crews operated on scene for several hours and assisted with water supply and overhaul. When clearing the fire, Truck 2 was picked up for another Box for a dwelling fire in Baltimore County. They were canceled enroute and returned to Carroll County.

We’d also like to thank Hampstead’s Roof Right for providing lunch for our volunteers and DFEMS staff. We appreciate our local businesses and their support!

Please enjoy the rest of July 4th and leave the fireworks to the professionals. We do not want to respond to another fire today.
