Monday afternoon and evening HVFC responded to several calls for service due to the storm that rolled through Northern Carroll County. Later that evening, just after 10:30pm, Engine 21 and Truck 2 were alerted to respond mutual aid into Baltimore County for a reported house on fire in the 18700 block of Upper Beckleysville Rd.

Engine 21, Truck 2, Brush 25 and Chief 2 responded to assist the Baltimore County units and other mutual aid companies. Engine 21 was the first fire engine to arrive and reported a two story legacy constructed house with fire throughout, E21 established command and requested the “working fire dispatch’ bringing additional resources to the scene. This was a “defensive fire”, which means no firefighters entered the structure due to the structural integrity being compromised. Units operated on scene for several hours.
