WORKING HOUSE FIRE IN BALTIMORE COUNTY
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Firefighter/EMT Isaac Yohn
November 24, 2019

At approximately 8:30 pm on November 23rd during the Lego & American Girl Doll Bingo, Hampstead VFC Truck 2 was alerted into Baltimore County for a reported house fire on Masemore Road in Parkton. Truck 2 responded immediately with a crew of 4. Hereford VFC was first on the scene and reported they had fire showing from the Delta side of the building. Baltimore County units started the working fire and called for the Tanker Strike Team assignment which brought Hampstead's Engine/Tanker 24 with a crew of 4 along with Medic 29. Truck 2 crew arrived and assisted Tower 17 with finishing laddering the building. Truck 2 crew was then assigned to go to the attic and check for fire using a thermal imaging camera, ventilate, and overhaul. The crew from Engine/Tanker 24 assisted with overhaul on the exterior of the building and Medic 29 was on stand-by as crews operated. Station 2 units were on scene for approximately 2 hours.

Thank you to York County Engine 52-1 (Pleasant Hill VFC) for covering our first due while we were gone.

Units: Truck 2, Engine/Tanker 24, Medic 29
