On Saturday, September 28th several of our Juniors participated in the Carroll County Emergency Services Association's Fall Junior Day. The Juniors arrived at the Carroll County Public Safety Training Center at 7:30 am. In the morning session, the Juniors trained at four stations; Search and Rescue (the maze), rope rescue, medical emergencies and an overview of Westminster's Tower 3. Just before lunch, members of Manchester VFD and the Carroll County Advanced Technical Rescue Team provided a rappelling demonstration from the roof of the training tower. CCVESA provided lunch for all participants followed by three friendly competitions including donning of their turn-out gear, hose connection and a bucket brigade. A great time was had by all! Thank you to the CCVESA Junior committee for organizing this great event for all the kids.
We could not be more proud of our Junior Firefighters and how the participated and represented Hampstead VFC!
